Open Water

The PADI Advanced Open Water course is available to any student who has completed their PADI Open Water. This is an exciting step beyond the Open Water Diver course, designed to expand your diving knowledge, enhance your skills, and introduce you to new diving experiences.

During the course, you'll complete five adventure dives, including a deep dive and underwater navigation dive, along with three additional dives of your choice. With a maximum depth of 30 meters, this course not only allows you to explore new diving environments and gain confidence as a diver but also opens up a world of possibilities for furthering your diving education. It's a fantastic opportunity to deepen your passion for diving and expand your horizons beneath the surface of the water.

The program

The Advanced Course is completed in just 2 days and includes 5 adventure dives — with PADI eLearning completed before or during your stay.

Before You Begin – PADI eLearning

You’ll complete the knowledge portion through PADI eLearning online, in the language of your choice. There are no exams or classroom sessions — just in-water training and practical dive briefings with your instructor.

Day 1 – 3 Dives (Shore-Based)

Start time: 13:00 at Buddha View Dive Centre
Dives:
- Underwater Navigation
- Peak Performance Buoyancy
- Night Dive
Finish: Around 20:00
All dives are conducted from shore or local sites, depending on sea conditions.

Day 2 – 2 Boat Dives

Start time: 07:30
Morning boat trip to two different dive sites
- Deep Dive (maximum 30 meters)
- Wreck Dive
Finish: Around 13:00 back at the dive centre

Dive Options

While Deep and Navigation dives are required, you can choose your remaining 3 dives based on interest and conditions. Options include:

Dive Location

Training takes place both from shore and aboard our dive boat, departing from Tanote Bay — one of the island’s most beautiful and uncrowded beaches, home to vibrant coral reefs and an ideal learning environment.

Prerequisites

Students must have minimum 12 years old and PADI (Junior) Open Water certification (or a comparable certification from a another recognised dive organisation)
To go to 30 meters (100 feet) you must be 15 years of age. Please note that specific Adventure Dives may require different ages
Confidence in the water and good physical health
Any health conditions must be highlighted to your dive instructor prior to entering the water
